The Royal Hotel was one of twenty seven hotels build in Hill End duringh the 1870's to cater for the booming population which Hill End experienced during the gold rush era. At the time of the gold rush around 8000 people lived in and around Hill End. Now of days the population of the town is around 80 people.
This building was built in 1872 and remains as the only hotel standing at Hill End. In the 1970's many of the places became the property of National Parks & Wildliffe Services (N.P.W.S) Due to this the building is maintained and kept as close to its original condition as possible.
Here at the Royal Hotel we try to cater for the majority of tourists that visit the hotel. We currently have five different beers on tap

We also sell a variety of other drinks including cans & stubbies, ready to drink alcoholic drinks including Jim Beam & Bunderburg rum. We also have a extensive range of spirits avaliable or if wine is your choice of drink we have a small variety of local wines including both red and white local hotel labeled wines as well as an increasing variety of other bottles of wine ranging in price from $19 - $38 per bottle.
Whilst you sit down and enjoy your drink we have a variety of facilities to keep you entertained:

You may also wish to sit out in the beer garden and relax, keep an eye out for local wildlife especially in the late afternoon where if your lucky may spot kangaroos and other wildlife on the premises.
